Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains - on 50 acres of rolling farmland and woodland in Cherokee County, South Carolina - we're a kennel breeding AKC registered German Shepherd Dogs. The kennel shares the land with native wildlife - deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, etc. - providing a serene setting for breeding and raising German Shepherd Dogs.

What's New?

Right now we own fifteen dogs, nine females and six males - all German Shepherds.

• We've been able to place several that we're not able to use in our breeding program for one reason or another into good pet homes. 
• We've introduced Bella, a pup from Tasha's first litter.  Bella's first litter was born on Nov 21.  This was our first second generation litter.
• This July, Anya will be OFA'd and available for breeding.  Anya is a beautiful black and red saddleback girl out of Damarhoff's Adonus Thorne x Zinni von Weiss Blau of AAA Kennels in Henagar, AL.  These are two excellent German lines. 
• In September, our Keera will be OFA'd and available for breeding.  Keera was also born right here at Ravenna Kennels.  She is a gorgeous silver sable girl out of our Britney II Kendall's Ideal x Magnum P. I. Brown.  This will be our second second generation breeding.
• Last February we picked up two girls - Smokey Blue Christmas -"Smokey"  (now two years old) and Magic Valley's Fancy Free - "Fancy" (a 4 year old white).  Fancy had a litter of 11 in July, and was a great mom.  She's resting a heat till her next one.  We took Smokey to another kennel to breed, but we're not sure if she bred, so with her we're wait and see. 
• Then in May, we were able to pick up a new boy, Del's Jackson von Rugar (he's now a year old - he's a long coat black & silver boy).
• In September, we picked up a new long coat black and red boy, Amigo von Nobelos.  He's a German import with some great lines in his pedigree. He's the sire of Bella's litter born in November.
• Our latest acquisitions are: In December, we picked up Magnum P. I. Brown, who we breed with Britney (He's now ours) and Fern, a longcoat, all-German black & tan saddleback girl from Wisconsin (She'll be two in June).
• On the OFA front, Reba's,  Smokey's, and Fancy's  hips checked out "Good" and Lady's, Max's, and Amigo's hips checked out "Fair".
